A dynamic and sustainability-focused building services consultancy is seeking a Junior IES Modeller to join its Manchester team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for low-carbon design and building performance to kickstart their career using IES-VE and other advanced simulation tools. This role would be a good match for Graduate Consultants and Junior Consultants with up to 1-2 years of experience in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the development of IES-VE models for new and existing buildings
Supporting dynamic thermal simulation, Part L compliance, overheating assessments (TM52/TM59), and daylight analysis
Contributing to the design of energy-efficient, low-carbon buildings in line with UK regulations and sustainability targets
Preparing clear, concise reports and communicating findings to internal design teams
Collaborating with mechanical and electrical engineers, architects, and sustainability professionals to deliver integrated design solutionsIdeal Candidate:
A degree (or equivalent experience) in Building Services Engineering, Environmental Design, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
A genuine interest in sustainable design, energy modelling, and building performance
Familiarity with IES-VE
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Based in or near Manchester (or open to relocating), with the right to work in the UKBenefits:
