All About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic production team operating in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
This role is not a design role. Instead, it centres on end-to-end production where you'll be responsible for accurately interpreting customer specifications, creating and producing digital drawings along with ensuring efficient output that meets quality and delivery standards.
You will be responsible for generating programs for a variety of profile cutting equipment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring production runs smoothly by delivering precise, machine-ready files tailored to different machinery and job requirements.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellent customer service are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
With recent significant investment in new technologies and infrastructure, we’re seeking a hands-on, results-driven individual to contribute to our continued growth and play a key role in the next phase of our business
Specific tasks include:
1. Program and prepare files for a variety of plate profiling equipment (e.g., plasma, laser, oxy-fuel) ensuring accuracy and efficiency for each machine type.
2. Monitor and manage stock levels of raw materials and consumables, ensuring timely reordering and minimal downtime.
3. Maintain and monitor machine operational readiness.
4. Accurately enter and process customer orders, ensuring correct specifications and delivery requirements are met.
5. Maintain strong attention to detail when interpreting technical drawings and translating them into production-ready programs.
6. Work confidently both independently and as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
7. Use 2D CAD software (SigmaNEST) to create and modify basic technical drawings and layouts.
8. Provide programming and drawing support to the production team, responding to day-to-day requirements and ensuring workflow continuity.

10. Excellent verbal, written & numeracy skills.
11. Confident and professional telephone manner.
12. SigmaNest experience is desirable however not essential.
Basic CAD understanding with training offered for the right candidate.
13. Must have confident computer skills with excellent attention to detail.
14. Good organisational skills including the ability to manage time and prioritise effectively.
15. A positive flexible attitude and approach.
