What You’ll Be Doing
·Identify and ensure compliance with all health and safety policies.
·Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
·Maintain and update health and safety policies, in collaboration with external consultants
·Lead the investigation of accidents and near-misses, carrying out root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
·Deliver briefings and internal training sessions on health and safety.
·Provide clear, confident health and safety advice to managers and stakeholders
·Promote a safe working environment across all levels of the workforce
·Oversee site maintenance, building safety/security, and contractor coordination
·Manage a small Maintenance team and uphold high service standards
What We’re Looking For
·NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent qualification)
·Significant experience in a dedicated Health & Safety role
·Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and best practice
·Clear, confident communicator: able to write reports, explain HSE matters, and build strong relationships.
·Calm, practical, and solution focused. Especially in high-pressure situations
·A Keen eye for detail across all HSE tasks.
·Full UK driving licence (travel between Devon/Cornwall sites required)
