The Role
To lead and manage all aspects of Health & Safety across two manufacturing sites, ensuring legal compliance, promoting a safety-first culture, and driving continuous improvement. The role requires a hands-on, influential leader who can engage teams, lead by example, and embed best practices across both locations.
Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver a cohesive Health & Safety strategy.
Align site initiatives with group policies and promote a positive safety culture.
Conduct regular site visits and engage teams on safe working practices.
Lead and review risk assessments; ensure timely reporting of incidents and near misses.
Maintain accurate safety documentation and manage contractor compliance.
Ensure legal and standards compliance, including BRC, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
Carry out audits, inspections, and follow-up actions.
Provide training, guidance, and support across all levels.
Prepare clear reports and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support emergency preparedness & response planning.
What you will bring NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and IOSH membership.
Experience in QHSE, ideally across multiple sites or manufacturing.
Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
Analytical, detail-focused, and confident making decisions under pressure.
Proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to inclusion and safety.
Full driving licence and ability to travel between sites.
