Our client, a leading contractor in the water, wastewater, and industrial water sector, is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Project Director to join their established Delivery team working across the Thames Water Framework on Non-Infrastructure schemes in the region.
Reporting directly to the Framework Director, you will be responsible for the overall management of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with our client's strategic objectives.
As a Project Director, your responsibilities will include:
1. Driving safety and quality standards across teams and subcontractors.
2. Overseeing the Business Management System (BMS) throughout project lifecycles.
3. Maintaining strong client relationships at all levels.
4. Collaborating effectively with joint venture partners and suppliers.
5. Planning, executing, and monitoring project activities in accordance with methodologies.
6. Developing and approving Project Execution Plans (PEPs) and construction plans.
7. Ensuring all project records are completed and maintained.
8. Monitoring and reporting non-conformities and related costs.
9. Managing project finances proactively with accurate forecasts and estimates.
10. Promoting continuous improvement, innovation, and industry best practices.
11. Keeping up-to-date with water and wastewater design and build projects.
Our client requires a Project Director with:
1. Extensive experience in managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects.
2. A degree or equivalent qualification in construction, commercial, or engineering.
3. A Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.
4. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
5. Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high standards.
6. Strategic and operational management experience.
7. Expertise in Construction Contracts (preferably NEC and/or IChemE).
8. Knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety standards.
9. Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants.
10. Chartered status with a relevant professional body.
11. NEC Project Manager Accreditation.
Salary and Benefits:
* £85,000 - £105,000 per annum
