Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant Cardiologist to join the Cardiology department at Epsom & St Helier Hospitals on a 5 PA part-time, 6-month fixed-term contract.
We seek a motivated and dynamic candidate to support the department in achieving key national and organizational objectives.
Subspecialty interest in Interventional Cardiology or Arrhythmia is desirable but not essential.

Working for our organisation
Our hospitals serve a population of four million in South West London and North East Surrey, including St George’s Hospital, St Helier Hospital, and Epsom Hospital. Our Trusts collaborate as a group to enhance research, education, and training.
This position primarily covers the St Helier hospital site.
Person specification
Qualifications & Training
* Medical qualification or GMC registration
* Entry on the Specialist Register in Cardiovascular Medicine or within 6 months of CCT
* Higher medical qualification such as MRCP or equivalent
* MD or equivalent research degree
* Experience in Interventional Cardiology or Arrhythmia management
Teaching & Research Experience
* Experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate trainees
* Ability to teach clinical skills and supervise junior doctors
* Research and audit experience
Clinical, Management and Administrative Experience
* High standard of clinical skills in General Medicine
* Experience with inpatient/outpatient services and clinical governance
Personal Attributes
* Teamwork and partnership skills
* Patient-centered approach and good communication skills
* Commitment to professional development and service improvement
Language
* Proficiency in written and spoken English
