MWH Treatment is currently seeking an Operations Manager for our Thames Water framework. Reporting directly to the Framework Director, you will be responsible for managing resources and overseeing all financial aspects of the framework and its projects to ensure targets for turnover, margin, and cash flow are met. You will oversee end-to-end project lifecycle performance and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and subcontractors. The Thames regional framework involves delivering water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects in AMP8, ranging from £3M to £70M across London & Guildford.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote safety and quality standards for all workforces
* Develop strategies to improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness
* Ensure sufficient qualified resources are available
* Monitor performance at departmental and contract levels
* Contribute to developing and implementing the Framework Strategy
* Assist in tender finalization
* Maintain good relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers
* Prepare management reports at the framework level
* Manage regional turnover within budget targets
* Develop and review company procedures for smooth operations
* Ensure adherence to quality procedures and maintain records
* Report site non-conformities and manage associated costs
* Manage project commercial aspects proactively
* Implement Quality, Safety, and Environmental policies
* Possess detailed project management knowledge from conception to end-user acceptance
* Engage in continuous professional development
* Maintain a positive, solution-oriented work approach
* Undertake additional duties as required
* Represent the department professionally in all contacts

Technical and Behavioral Competencies:
Expertise in contract management, governance, budgeting, risk management, project planning, digital delivery, procurement, solutions development, stakeholder management, resource and change management, quality management, communication, collaboration, client focus, results orientation, integrity, coaching, and leadership.
Special Requirements:
* Regular travel across Thames Water London non-infra region
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Ability to work within strict deadlines
* Experience leading multi-disciplinary schemes

* Extensive experience in large-scale project delivery
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience in water/wastewater treatment plants
* Chartered or near-chartered in construction or engineering
* Degree in a construction-related discipline
