Yourleadership experience could be in any customer focussed industry, notnecessarily Food Retail. In fact, we’re keen to nurture the broadestmindsets in order to grow a management team that operates effectivelyacross the store, so don’t worry if you don’t have the technicalknowledge, we’re looking primarily for the desire to achieve successthrough your people and a love for connecting with customers.
What you’ll be doing
Ourpurpose is that driven by our passion for food, together we serve andhelp every customer.
You’ll be working in one of our busiestand most complex stores, reporting directly to the Store Manager andleading a team of managers. It’s fast-paced. Every day will bringunexpected challenges. You won’t always have the answers – that’s fine– but by solving short-term problems and making medium-term changes,you’ll support your team to keep delivering.
OurNightshift teams are core to our stores always being ready for ourfirst customers of the day. They restock shelves, take in warehousedeliveries and help with overnight online picking. As a leader, you’llstay connected to the day time leadership team to understand theon-going plans and priorities and make sure everything is set up andready for our colleagues and customers in the morning.
We recognise that working at night isn’t for everyone and anadditional annual premium of up to £4,500 is applied to salaries fornightshift management roles, where eligible.
Specifically,your role is to set the direction of travel in your area for the next1-3 months.

• Be confident inyour ability to continuously prioritise and energise your team throughthe night
• You will be developing yourself asthe operational expert and acting as a role model for your team
• You’re confident making decisions at pace and feelempowered and accountable to run your area of the store – and todeputise for the Store Manager
About you
You might currently be managing a smallersupermarket or convenience store or already in a team leadership role.Maybe you’re looking for a new challenge after a career break ortransferring from another big store retail environment or anothersector. Wherever you’re working now, you’ve demonstrated you can makea difference and love being part of a team.
