Maintenance Engineer - Birmingham | £45,000

They're now looking to add a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support production across multiple sites and help drive reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.
The role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a hands-on role in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities:
Reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance to reduce downtime
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and TPM activities
Fault finding and implementing long-term fixes
Supporting machinery installations, upgrades, and refurbishments
Working with the Maintenance Manager on risk assessments and asset planning
Ensuring all work meets UK Health & Safety standards
Updating maintenance activity using a CMMS system
Checking contractor RAMS, permits to work, and on-site compliance
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
Knowledge of TPM principles and CMMS systems
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Ability to read engineering drawings and manuals
Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, BTEC Level 3 or equivalent)
Proactive attitude with good communication skills
