What you will be doing
as the Credit Reporting & Insight Manager. In this key role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality debt management reporting across a £2.4bn revenue portfolio, supporting the collection of £2.2bn in cash annually. Your insight and analysis will drive performance improvements and inform strategic decision-making at the highest level.
As we transition our data into a new enterprise data lake, you will lead the reporting transformation, building advanced analytical capability and guiding your team through a shift from Excel to SQL-based reporting. Your leadership will be critical in shaping how data is used across the business during this period of change.
You will build strong relationships with the Director of Income and the wider Income senior leadership team. The reports you produce will be central to their ability to manage, optimise, and continuously improve their business areas. You will also work hand in hand with the Credit Strategy Manager, providing the MI and insight necessary for the ongoing development of effective credit strategies.
Key responsibilities:
1. Portfolio Performance & Forecasting: Lead the monitoring, forecasting, and evaluation of strategy effectiveness across the Household debt portfolio, including both directly and indirectly billed customers, covering pre-arrears, collections, and outsourced recoveries.
2. Reporting Development: Oversee the design and delivery of new performance and insight reporting, particularly using our new data lake and debt collection system.
3. Customer Segmentation Insight: Provide data and analysis to support tailored strategies based on customer segmentation, enhancing the effectiveness of collections and support.
4. Business Intelligence & Insight: Manage the delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly MI to inform decision-making across the Portfolio and Income teams, supporting strategic optimisation.
5. Retail Credit Risk Committee Reporting: Own the preparation and delivery of insight and analysis for monthly Credit Risk Committee meetings.
6. Credit Management Governance: Ensure strong governance through oversight of the Retail Credit Committee, maintaining controls, reporting guardrails, and robust portfolio performance review.

7. Proven ability to lead, manage and inspire high-performing teams – direct and indirect
8. Track record of experience working in a similar role with a similar-sized portfolio.
9. Expertise in the delivery of new reporting from a data lake/ SQL environment.
10. Demonstrate a solid analytical background.
11. Strong communication skills and stakeholder relationship management.
12. A track record of leading change in complex data environments.
13. Strong planning and problem-solving abilities.
14. Excellent working experience with large datasets using SQL and other analytical tools (E.g. Python, R, SAS)
15. Advanced analytics & data modelling experience, ideally in risk modelling or business modelling.
Location: Hybrid - Walnut Court - SN2 8BN.
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
