Occupational Therapist – Reablement Team
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council offers a part‑time Occupational Therapist role (16 h per week, including Fridays) within our evolving Reablement Team in Adult Social Care.
Pay £38,220–£46,142 pro rata per annum.
About the role
You will support people to regain independence, reduce care packages and achieve a good quality of life by:
* Contributing to Reablement Plans and preparing Therapy Plans.
* Assessing for equipment of daily living, moving and handling and developing associated plans.
* Working with Reablement and long‑term care staff to demonstrate optimum ways of working that promote independence, dignity and personal choice.

Requirements
* A Diploma or BSc (or WFOT equivalent) in Occupational Therapy.
* Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration.
* Awareness of current relevant legislation.
* Good communication skills.
* Awareness of assistive technology and technology‑enabled care, as well as current IT systems.
* Understanding of the provision of daily living equipment, environmental adaptations and support for moving and handling needs.
* Newly qualified Occupational Therapists with pending HCPC registration are welcome; confirmation of registration will be required on appointment.
* Valid driving licence with ownership of a vehicle (essential car‑user post).
* DBS check and Fluency Duty requirements.
