Job Title: Marketing & Events Specialist

Location: Plymouth, UK (Hybrid)

Reports To: Sales & Marketing Director

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Employment Type: Full-time

As the portfolio covers all aspects of media marketing the successful candidate needs to understand how to drive sales leads, build data bases and online communities, increase web traffic, brand awareness and help deliver numerous in-person events across the world.

This is a hugely exciting role and opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing business. We are looking for someone to bring fresh and innovative marketing ideas to the table, as well as being able to dovetail into a well-established brand portfolio.

Role Overview

We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated specialist in marketing and events to drive our digital and event marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will enhance our brand presence, engage our audience, support the sales team with lead capture and contribute to the growth of our media platforms and events. International travel is a core part of the role, as the team attend several events each year – the ideal candidate will be required to attend events in the Middle East region as well as globally.

Key Responsibilities

* Digital Marketing: Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across email, social media, and web platforms to promote our publications and events.
* Content Creation: Produce compelling content in cooperation with the Editor and Designer, including articles, newsletters, and social media posts, tailored to our target audience.
* Event Promotion: Plan and implement marketing strategies for our conferences, including promotional materials, advertising, and attendee engagement.
* Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and analyse campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights to inform future strategies.
* Collaboration: Work closely with editorial, sales, and design teams to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all platforms.

Requirements

* Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a marketing role, preferably within B2B media or events.
* Skills:
* Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Canva etc.).
* Strong writing and editing skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Familiarity with SEO and content marketing best practices.
* Experience in event marketing and promotion.
* Highly adaptable to join a close-knit team
* Flexibility to attend international trade events throughout the year

Desirable Attributes

* Knowledge of the Publishing and/or B2B media industries.
* Experience with CRM system integration and marketing automation tools.
* Creative mindset with an eye for design and branding.
* Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
* Willingness to take full ownership and growth of the role.

Working hours: Full time. We require a minimum of 30 hours per week up to full-time working hours. We are open to discussing working hours with candidates.

Location: Our main office is in Plymouth and regular office time will be essential.
