Within our Butchery Department we are looking for talented people to join our team as a skilled butcher cutting, trimming & deboning pork shoulders, legs and middles.
Candidates will need to demonstrate that they have previous knife experience gained from working in a butchery environment during an initial skills test.
Key information:
* Competitive guaranteed hourly rate of pay!
* Voluntary Overtime & Weekend hours paid at Premium Rates!
* Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent/Direct
* Shift: Monday to Friday
* Hours: 06:30 - 16:00 including 2 breaks (42.5 hours guaranteed)

*In addition to your hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive discretionary productivity and quality bonus once you're signed off on minimum required task jobs on bonus lines. Depending on your skill level and performance this can be significant amount boosting your weekly wage!

In you role you will:
• Cut, bone and trim meat (pork)
• Remove bones and excess fat, gristle, and bruises to meet specific, high – quality, or lean product requirements
• Accurately cut and weigh meat to meet predetermined weight and size specifications
• Ensure product is processed according to Customer specifications
• Ensure work is carried out to the best of your abilities to meet production deadlines
• Safely operate machinery, including band saws, circular saws, derinders
• Use knives safely and efficiently
• Comply with Company policies, Health and Safety and Food Safety Standards at all times, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned necessary to meet business needs.
Experience:
• Proven experience as a pork butcher or meat processor in Food Manufacturing
• Manual handling
• Advanced knife handling skills
