Location: Glasgow – Govan and Scotstoun (On-site, with a recruitment day in Glasgow)
Salary: £38,662.00 (plus potential shift allowance of 33%)
Your Mission:
As a Sheet Metal Worker at BAE Systems, you will play a crucial role in manufacturing and installing essential components that contribute to the security and defense of nations. Your expertise will help us deliver eight Type 26 frigates to the Royal Navy.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Manufacturing and installing ventilation and furniture
* Upholding engineering standards with a focus on quality from the start
* Utilizing a variety of hand tools
* Applying your hand skills for both manufacturing and installation
* Interpreting manufacturing and installation drawings
Your Skills and Experience:
* Modern Apprenticeship certificate (Trade Papers required)
* Strong understanding of SHE and COSHH risks, along with manufacturing processes
* Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
* Safety certifications (e.g., SHE Induction, COSHH awareness, working at height)
* Experience in a major construction or manufacturing environment
