Offer description

Overview

We are looking for an experienced, BABCP accredited CBT Therapist to join our CAMHS team in West Sussex. You should have a strong background in working therapeutically with children, young people and families, and demonstrable experience of providing supervision within CAMHS or CYP services. It would be desirable to have a CBT supervision training qualification, and some experience of teaching, training and leadership.

Responsibilities

As a senior member of the West Sussex CAMHS team, you would participate in the core multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention work of the team and engage in multi-agency liaison as necessary. You would also participate in supervision, training and the overall governance requirements of SPFT CAMHS. While maintaining a small clinical caseload, you will provide support and supervision to a growing CBT workforce and contribute to the CBT leadership team across the wider Sussex CAMHS service, exploring innovative ways to develop our CBT offer. This role would support new CBT trainees in placement while they undertake their training at Kings College London. You would also help implement new treatment pathways and apply your specialist interests in working with OCD, PTSD, anxiety and depression.

You’ll be part of a busy but welcoming CAMHS team, working alongside psychiatrists, nurses, OTs, social workers, psychologists and systemic, art and child psychotherapists. The team offers a wide range of individual, group and systemic interventions and is involved in evaluation and research projects and service developments. You would be encouraged to develop your skills and interests to further your expertise and that of the team.
