Key responsibilities include
- Setting the tone: Lead, coach and inspire a high‑performing Compliance team, creating an environment where people challenge, collaborate and grow.
- Staying ahead of the curve: Own regulatory oversight across mortgages, savings, AML and conduct, translating complexity into clear, practical guidance.
- Driving assurance: Shape and deliver a risk‑based Integrated Assurance Plan that genuinely challenges and strengthens the first line.
- Being the voice of reason (and challenge): Influence senior stakeholders and committees with insight, clarity and conviction.
- Protecting trust: Oversee data protection governance, ensuring ethical, secure and compliant use of member data.
- Making it real: From policy ownership to deep dives and financial promotion approvals, you’ll balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery.
