We provide support 24 hours a day, so are looking for flexibility to work a variety of shifts from Monday-Sunday, including some sleepovers and waking nights. Our shifts generally go from 10am - 10am the next day (sleepover included).
The people we support have faced a lot of challenges in the past because of their learning disabilities, visual impairment and mental health issues, but this hasn’t stopped them from enjoying life. They enjoy lots of activities together, including cycling, spending time in their community, accessing religious groups, going line dancing, pub quizzing and curling. Individually, the people we support enjoy writing, listening to music, watching movies and chatting.
The people we support are very motivated and would like to plan a holiday for this year. They’re always up for trying new things too, so are looking for inventive and supportive people who are up for the challenge.
The people we support are like to be supported by people who respect them and their homes, but who also like to have fun!

Sometimes the people we support really need a male or female person to support them. For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
We like people who are reliable and honest, so the people we support can build trust and know that you have their best interests at heart. It’s important that you are reliable and honest and can communicate well with everyone.
