Manufacturing, sourcing and Supplying ranges of Standard and Non-Standard Vacuum components, fittings and vessels within a range of industries utilising vacuum techniques. This includes Semi-Conductor, Research, Energy, Medical and general Industrial vacuum users.
Scope
As Chambers Engineer you will have strong experience in manufacturing vacuum chambers, with an understanding of engineering principles and materials science. Experience using XYZ milling machines, mechanical and materials knowledge and understanding of tools essential. You will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will also be experienced in fabrication, fitting and some light welding. Also experience within a fast paced and high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
* Manufacture vacuum chambers according to customer specifications.
* Manufacture mid-range vacuum components, including fitting, tweaking and some light welding.
* Manufacturing of high volume, less complex products as and when required.
* Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment and tools.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and to follow instructions.
* Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimise chamber design and performance.
* Ensuring all jobs issued are completed within the given timescales.
* Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing-related issues and challenges.
* Ensuring compliance with all aspects of the Health & Safety & Quality Policy.
