Duty Crime Solicitor - Leicester
Leading Midlands firm seeks a dedicated and motivated Duty Crime Solicitor to work on a broad range of criminal cases.
Duties will include:
* Manage a varied caseload of criminal law matters, representing clients in Magistrates', Youth and Crown Courts
* Provide clear, expert legal advice to clients, ensuring they understand their rights and options
* Prepare case files, draft legal documents, and attend pre-trial hearings and trial proceedings
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues, including barristers, investigators, and support staff
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, procedures, and best practices in criminal law
About you
* At least 1 years' PQE
* Police Station Accreditation
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Ability to work on the Police Station out of hours rota
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* Ability to travel to different Court centres and Police Stations across Leicester
