Role: Physiotherapy Assistant - Rehabilitation Unit

Contract Type - Permanent
Hours: Full time at 37.5 hours per week, weekends and on-call required

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at The Wellington Hospital, currently rated "Good" by the CQC.
The Wellington Hospital has over four decades of expertise; providing the highest level of care for patients who are looking for the best treatment in key areas of healthcare, including: neurosurgery, spinal surgery, cardiac care, orthopaedics, acute neurological rehabilitation, gynaecology and cancer care.
In our 50-bed Acute Neurological Rehabilitation Unit we care for patients with a wide range of complex neurological conditions. And we're supported by the UK's largest private intensive care unit. We also offer the latest cancer and robotic surgery treatments, including electro-chemotherapy, HIPEC and the da Vinci Robot. Having the largest neurosciences unit in London means we're able to carry out advanced spinal surgery, intracranial and peripheral nerve surgery as well as pioneering neurosurgery.
About the role
* To work under the direction of qualified Physiotherapists as part of a multidisciplinary team
* with patients who have disability resulting from neurological, medical or surgical conditions
* To assist Physiotherapists in the management and care of their patients to high professional
* standards and implement and evaluate physiotherapy intervention under the
* guidance/supervision of a Physiotherapist once trained.
* To provide programs of physiotherapy and rehabilitation activities to patients with acute,
* chronic or complex needs within the guidelines provided by the Physiotherapists

What you will bring:
* Good Communication Skills
* Relevant clinical experience
* GSCE English and Maths
* Interest in physical Rehabilitation
* BSc Sports science (Desirable)
* Interest in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (Desirable)
