We’re recruiting!
Join us as a Learning Disability Support Worker and help build a future where learning disabled people live the best life possible.
We know that life can be complicated for everybody. But some of us are stopped from working towards our dreams. Many learning disabled people aren’t heard about the support they’d like. Some won’t get to decide what they do for work or how to spend or save their money. Many won't get to try out new hobbies they’d love to try.
But you can change all that.
Join our growing team in Bedfordshire, and get all the training you need to become a confident Support Worker.
Do you feel like our values - Kind, Diverse, Positive, and Visionary - are a good match to your values? Then we’ve got lots in common already. Come on board and support learning disabled adults with those very values to develop skills, achieve their life goals, and thrive in your community.
What we offer you:
* Location: Shefford
* Type of service: Day service
* Address: Shefford SG17 5JW
* Salary: £12.77 per hour
* Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 4:30 pm
* Training & development: Earn money while you get a fully funded Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
* Benefits: Health, retail, and cash incentives to use as you wish.
What you’ll be doing:
Every day is different. You may support someone to plan their weekly shop, go on outdoor adventures, provide personal care, support them to attend their favourite gigs, build confidence in using public transport, or teach money management skills. The goal is to support people in discovering new interests, achieving goals, and maintaining relationships with family and friends.
You’ll provide the highest standard of care and support for learning disabled adults. This includes listening to their wants and needs, assisting with daily tasks like taking medication, cooking meals, and helping build confidence for new experiences. You will work various shifts to support work-life balance.
Having a full driving license is helpful but not essential.
We look forward to meeting you at our Shefford services!
Find your place with us and change lives.
