FP&A Manager
Forge Talent are partnering with a high‑growth, mission‑driven organisation recruiting for a newly created FP&A role that sits at the heart of an evolving finance function.
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you’ll combine technical expertise with leadership and business partnering, taking ownership of systems, reporting, and financial analysis across a £400m+ operation. We are looking for someone technically strong, commercially aware, and driven by results. You enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and providing clear insight from complex data.
Location: North Manchester (Hybrid, 2 days per week in the office).
Key Responsibilities
* Lead management reporting and provide insightful analysis on group financial performance.
* Deliver commentary on monthly results, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
* Maintain KPIs, financial models, and variance analysis to support decision‑making and strategic initiatives.
* Manage budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes, ensuring data integrity and alignment with divisional targets.
* Drive reporting automation, standardisation, and improvements in planning systems (Power BI, Cognos, Planning Analytics).
* Produce high‑impact ad‑hoc analysis and dashboards for senior leadership.
* Manage two direct reports and support a wider dotted‑line team.
* Build strong relationships with senior leaders, providing guidance, training, and actionable insights.
* Act as second‑in‑command to the Head of FP&A, with a pathway into leadership.
Key Qualifications
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling expertise.
* Experience managing reporting, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.
* Experience standardising reporting processes and implementing automation.
* Familiarity with BI or planning tools such as Power BI, Cognos, Planning Analytics, or Tableau.
* Previous experience in a PE‑backed or high‑growth business environment.
