PE Global is recruiting an IT Service Desk Analyst, the role is an initial 12-month contract and the role is onsite 5 days a week. The rate for this role is £17.43/hr PAYE.
* Provide first-level technical support for issues involving hardware, software, and basic networking.
* Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and software.
* Troubleshoot technical problems; escalate unresolved or complex issues.
* Analyse user requirements and support business processes for IT solutions.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into IT solutions.
* Support and maintain records of all incidents and service requests in ServiceNow.
* Perform IT procurement in line with corporate policies.
* Liaise with external IT vendors for cable installations, copier support, and eWaste disposal.
* Ensure resolution and proper documentation of tickets within SLA timelines.
* Maintain compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Support 24x7 on-call emergencies and special projects when required.
* Monitor and replenish local IT hardware inventory as needed.
* Participate in deployment and testing of IT systems.
* Provide general site support across applications, networks, and telecoms.
* Communicate clearly and accurately with end-users and stakeholders.
Requirements:
* College-level diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Certifications such as
CompTIA
,
Network+
,
MCP
, or
MCSE
are beneficial.
* At least
4 years
of direct technical support experience required.
* Experience in pharmaceutical or laboratory environments is advantageous.
* Excellent interpretation of written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
* Ability to lift up to
50 pounds
occasionally and move within lab and manufacturing areas.
* Effective time management under pressure and ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Fluent in English.
