Overview
A leading global consulting firm is seeking a 1st Line Operative to join their Birmingham team on a 6 to 12 month contract. This is a hands‑on operational support role focused on managing device logistics, warranty processing, and smooth workflow coordination across teams.
Location: Birmingham
Rate: £18 per hour (Inside IR35)
Contract: 6 - 12 month
Key Responsibilities
* Receive devices from the field and repair vendors, processing them using SAP and ITSM tools.
* Ensure devices are routed correctly to engineers, stock, or vendors for repair.
* Manage warranty returns to vendors, maintaining accurate records.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers, and engineers to maintain smooth workflows.
* Monitor and manage incoming operational requests, escalating when needed.
* Maintain clear and accurate documentation to support daily operations.
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
