Civil Engineer - Dundee
Are you a civil engineer looking to make a real impact on UK infrastructure projects? We're working with a leading UK consultancy to recruit a talented Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Dundee.
In this role you will:
Develop detailed civil-engineering designs, drawings and specifications to UK standards.
Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations and related assessments.
Manage and coordinate civil works from concept through to completion.
Prepare drainage, highways and earthworks calculations using software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage or AutoCAD.
Liaise with local authorities, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with design, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
Provide project management support including budgeting, scheduling and progress reporting.
Perform site visits and technical oversight during construction.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations, including CDM requirements.You will be a strong fit for this position if you have:
A BEng/BSc or MEng/MSc in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
Practical experience in civil or infrastructure engineering in the UK.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one civil design software (e.g. Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, Revit).
A strong understanding of UK design standards (e.g. DMRB, Sewers for Adoption, relevant BS/EN standards).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.What's On Offer
