Rate:
1. PAYE: £12.21 per hour
2. Umbrella: £15.77 per hour
Are you a reliable and organised Driver/Courier with a strong work ethic and commitment to public service? Network Recruitment Wales is seeking a Driver/Courier to provide essential operational and support services across the Vale of Glamorgan. This temporary role has arisen to cover long-term sickness and plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of council services.
What You’ll Do:
3. Transport packages, mail, and parcels between council-owned properties, including schools.
4. Provide an effective paper recycling collection service for the Waste Management and Cleansing Department.
5. Transport packed crates and materials between libraries across the Vale of Glamorgan.
6. Deliver cleaning materials and equipment to council-owned properties.
7. Transport sensitive legal documentation between Civic Offices and the Authority’s solicitors.
8. Assist with the transportation of monies and cheques between selected council properties.
9. Support wider Building Cleaning & Security functions, including providing cover for mobile services, assisting with office moves, and undertaking basic labouring duties.
10. Carry out all duties in line with the Council’s Equal Opportunities Policy.
What We’re Looking For:
11. A dependable individual with experience in courier, driving, or delivery-based roles.
12. Ability to manage multiple deliveries and collections efficiently across the borough.
13. A flexible and proactive approach, with willingness to support a range of operational functions.
14. Strong awareness of confidentiality and professionalism, particularly when handling sensitive materials.
Essential Requirements:
15. Eligibility to work in the UK.
16. Signed Confidentiality Agreement.
17. Completed Criminal Convictions Declaration.
