Location & Hours
Location: New Shire Hall, Emery Crescent, Enterprise Crescent, Huntingdon, PE28 4YE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm (40 hours per week, with a one-hour lunch break)

Your Role
As a Mechanical Engineer within our Facilities Management team, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our buildings operate smoothly and safely. This mobile position allows you to develop your technical skills while making a difference in the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
* Perform planned preventative maintenance tasks, including legionella compliance, HVAC maintenance, and pump servicing.
* Respond to reactive mechanical tasks, diagnosing faults and completing repairs on pumps, valves, and plumbing systems.
* Accurately record maintenance results using our digital systems and communicate progress with the Helpdesk.
* Induct and monitor sub-contractors, ensuring adherence to site procedures and health and safety standards.
* Conduct weekly building inspections and participate in team briefings to share knowledge and plan ahead.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Hold a clean driving license, Gas Safe qualification, and City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2/3, with experience in mechanical and fabric maintenance.
* Are competent with air conditioning and air handling unit systems, and possess PASMA/IPAF qualifications (L8 Legionella awareness is a plus).
* Are comfortable using digital systems and tablets to manage work tasks, and can communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
* Enjoy problem-solving and can adapt to various tasks while working collaboratively as part of a team.
* Are self-motivated, able to prioritize under pressure, and committed to delivering excellent customer service while maintaining high safety standards.
