Overview
Neighbourhood Support Officer
Permanent, 36.5 hours per week. Grade B £28,598 – £34,434. Consultation grade – subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review.
Responsibilities
* The post holder will manage all aspects of housing including allocations, move on's, repairs, and the delivery of individual support and wellbeing to maintain a tenancy for sheltered housing tenants.
* Conduct face-to-face visits in tenants' homes to improve health and wellbeing of tenants, with a focus on older people and those with disabilities to help them achieve their goals and lead resilient, healthy lives in a sheltered environment.
* Work on tenancy conditions, anti-social behaviour, debt advice, benefit advice, and liaising with multiple agencies both internal and external for the benefit of the tenant and the City.
* Aim to enable people to live independently with support from multiple agencies as required.
* Be aware of building management and Health & Safety and work with others to ensure these are met.
* This is an agile city-wide role; you may work on multiple areas at various sheltered housing schemes. Desirable to have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Awareness of building management and Health & Safety.
* Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable).
* Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be undertaken.
* Proof of Right to work in the UK will be required in accordance with UK Home Office requirements before employment offer is confirmed.
