A well‑established engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Procurement Supervisor to take ownership of their purchasing function, managing approximately £7m annual spend. This is a standalone role where you'll be the go‑to expert for all procurement activity, supplier relationships, stock control, and negotiation.
You’ll also supervise one direct report (Logistics/Stores), ensuring smooth and efficient operations to support projects across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage end‑to‑end procurement activities for a £7m spend.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
* Place and manage orders for ongoing projects.
* Oversee stock management and ensure optimal inventory levels.
* Supervise and support one Logistics/Stores team member.
* Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to deliver best value.
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely purchasing and delivery.
* Utilise SAP Business ByDesign for procurement and stock processes.
About You
* A varied procurement background, ideally with experience supporting project‑based environments.
* Knowledge of imports (advantageous but not essential).
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
* Confidence working independently in a standalone purchasing role.
* Experience using ERP systems – SAP Business ByDesign experience is a bonus.
