Cygnet Newton House Cygnet Newton House is a 21 bed specialist high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service for men. The service is dedicated to providing a high quality environment for promoting long-term recovery. Your Day-to-Day… You’ll be working 40 hours a week, with time factored in to continue your studies. The post would make an ideal final year paid placement opportunity. Under The Supervision Of a Practitioner Psychologist You Will Work as a team Psychologist within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) Carry out psychological assessments & provide therapy to individuals & groups Collaboratively develop care plans with the MDT Provide training & support to colleagues, & consultation to teams Evaluate the service, contribute to its development & carry out clinical research Disseminate outcomes via conference presentations and publications. We Are Looking For Someone Who Is… In the final year of their practitioner psychologist training (i.e. Counselling Doctorate, Forensic Doctorate, Forensic Psychologist Practitioner Programme) Previous experience within an inpatient mental health setting Passionate about working with people with a range of complex mental health needs Capable of treating difficulties such as self-harm, physical & verbal aggression, and drug & alcohol problems (under appropriate supervision) Why Cygnet?
