Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Head Chef role located in Winchester. The Head Chef will oversee all kitchen operations. They will lead the culinary team, manage kitchen staff schedules, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. The Head Chef is also responsible for maintaining food quality, controlling costs, and fostering a positive work environment within the kitchen. Collaboration with management to enhance the dining experience is a key aspect of this position.
Qualifications
* Expertise in culinary arts and preparation of diverse dishes
* Leadership skills, with experience managing kitchen teams and coordinating day-to-day operations
* Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and compliance with health regulations
* Ability to manage inventory, source ingredients, and maintain cost control
* Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or relevant field is an advantage
* Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate with staff and management
* Previous experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role in a high-quality dining setting
