Adult & Paediatric Crisis Worker - Derby - Bank
The role of Crisis Worker is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required.
Acting as the advocate for patients who attend the centre, you will empower service users to feel in control and be able to support during the forensic process to manage patient care pathways.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities will include:
1. Being the first point of contact for service users.
2. Supporting the process for service users and their families visiting the centre, including preparing the patient and assisting in the collection of forensic evidence.
3. Ensuring a high standard of DNA anti-contamination is maintained between forensic cases (cleaning).
4. Assisting patients and liaising with other agencies regarding the management of the service user pathway.
5. Supporting preparation, service user support, and acting as an advocate during their time at the SARC.
6. Being a key team member within the SARC and the wider company network.

Job responsibilities
Salary: Retainer rates - £30.56 per 8-hour shift (09:00 Monday to 08:59 Saturday) and £40.24 from 09:00 Saturday to 08:59 Monday. The attendance payment is £15.85 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours per case.
Shift Patterns: 24/7 rota coverage, 365/6 days per year.

Qualifications

* A UK driving license and access to a vehicle are required, as travel across SARCs may be necessary.
* Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting are required.
