We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Radiotherapist to join our client’s team in Birmingham. This role involves providing high-quality radiotherapy treatment to patients, ensuring the delivery of precise and effective therapeutic interventions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the care and management of patients undergoing radiotherapy.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities include planning and delivering radiotherapy treatments, ensuring accurate dose delivery, and monitoring patient responses to treatment. The role involves working closely with oncologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans. The Radiotherapist will also be responsible for maintaining detailed patient records, ensuring all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning, and adhering to safety and quality standards. Providing support and reassurance to patients throughout their treatment journey is a key aspect of this role.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in therapeutic radiography
* Proficiency in planning and delivering radiotherapy treatments
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety
