The role of the Sales Director for account management is to achieve revenues in line with the annual plan by driving sales performance across the sales teams in existing accounts. The goal is to grow through increasing active purchasing sites and average spend per site in both new and existing products. The Sales Director will support the Managing Director in driving sales processes and monitoring activity to maximize growth opportunities while dealing with underperformance in a timely and appropriate manner.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales and net margin in the UK and Ireland market to exceed budget. Aim to exceed the sales targets in all sales territories.
2. Increase the number of active sites purchasing A-SAFE products and increase average spend per annum in line with agreed budgets.
3. Deliver on the sales strategy to focus on key accounts and national accounts.
4. Drive the input activity of calls, quotes, and conversions. Accurately record activity in CRM.
5. Responsible for the strategic activity of the Customer Success Manager and other customer-facing internal roles.
6. Build and manage a high-performance team to deliver agreed strategy, results, and KPIs while working collaboratively across the region.
7. Maintain a strong link with various support functions at the UK HQ.


Essential Qualifications:

1. Demonstrable experience of building revenues in existing accounts through account management, driving sales teams to achieve ambitious revenue and profit targets.
2. Evidence of managing and improving productivity through effective use of metrics methodologies.
3. Strong leadership skills, developing and driving teams through periods of change.
4. Comfortable operating in matrix management structures.
5. Demonstrable knowledge of processes used in the sale of industrial products in a B2B environment.
6. Ability to build relationships at all levels with blue-chip end users in relevant business sectors.
7. Understand and can live by the A-SAFE values.


Desirable Qualifications:

1. Existing contacts and customers within the manufacturing and logistics sector in the UK and Ireland.
2. Ideally within commutable distance to our Head Office in Elland, West Yorkshire, and comfortable being on-site 1 or 2 days a week.
