About The Role

We're looking for someone with the same zeal to push boundaries and innovate! As our NPD Makeup Manager, you'll be the creative genius driving our makeup line's development, from ideation to launch. Blending art and science together to create high-quality, eco-friendly makeup products that resonate with our conscious consumers.
This role will facilitate the exciting development of the most effective, ethical and natural makeup products in the world. Together with key areas of the business, you will work on the journey from product conception, ingredients, and formulation to marketing, design, production and packaging.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Tropic’s makeup product development process, ensuring all products align with Tropic’s Infinite purpose.
2. Create bright, fresh and exciting new makeup/colour cosmetic products, packaging, and gifting concepts to expand and strengthen Tropic's makeup/colour cosmetics product range.
3. Support the Head of NPD with skincare and suncare projects.
4. Assist with the marketing of the range and help to communicate key selling points in product marketing materials.
5. Contribute to the creation of a wide range of content, blog posts, training documents and videos for social media.
6. Work with external parties, where applicable, to assess the makeup EPD and NPD.
7. Be up to date and ahead of the latest, makeup trends in terms for product, packaging, gifting ideas using the most effective, ethically and organically sourced, naturally derived ingredients to keep our range at the cutting edge.
8. Carry out in-depth research and analysis across multiple areas including key competitors, organic, ethically sourced and naturally derived ingredients and formulations, feasibility, production, packaging and delivery.
9. Present exciting new NPD makeup concepts and findings to the CEO, Head of NPD and wider teams.
10. Manage multiple projects, and oversee project timelines and milestones including concept, design, production, testing, sampling, packaging through to delivery.
11. Collect and collate all feedback and product suggestions to enhance and inform makeup NPD and EPD decisions.
12. Monitor sales activity and identify which products need marketing attention to improve sales performance.
13. Manage financial administration including budgeting, negotiating, and invoicing.
14. Provide in-depth sales analysis and reports.
15. Identify any continual improvements required for product enhancement and implement action plans and timelines to make any necessary changes.
16. Create innovative, luxury makeup gifting and collection ideas for annual events and celebrations including festive/seasonal collections.
17. Champion the voice of our ambassadors and consumers, translating their desires and needs into products that exceed expectations.
What We're Looking For
18. A Creative Visionary: You're passionate about all things make-up and beauty, sustainability, and groundbreaking innovation.
19. A bachelor's degree in chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Biology, or a related field.
20. Prior experience in a product development role within the beauty or skincare industry is essential.
21. A proven track record in colour cosmetics product development is essential.
22. Experience in make-up artistry is highly desirable.
23. Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards in skincare and cosmetics.
24. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
25. Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments.
26. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
27. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

28. Employment Type: This role is offered full-time, Monday to Friday, am to pm.
29. Where we're located: Tropic HQ is located a short walk from Beddington Lane Tram stop, which is connected to East Croydon and Wimbledon.
