The Data, Technology and Innovation (DTI) division enables the FCA to be a digital-first, data-led smart regulator by delivering a secure, agile, and cost-effective technology and data ecosystem that drives better decisions, transparency, and operational efficiency.
Sitting within DTI, the Digital Systems team delivers the systems that enable the FCA to be a more effective and smarter regulator.
The DevOps Team manages and optimises DevSecOps platforms, focusing on secure, high-performing deployment pipelines and scalable technical solutions aligned with strategic goals. Core technologies include Salesforce/Copado for case management and AWS for cloud infrastructure.
Role responsibilities:
4. Deliver and support cloud services that meet company standards, ensuring quality and reliability
5. Monitor cloud platforms for compliance with security and design rules, managing incidents and changes effectively
6. Oversee environment management by maintaining inventories, scheduling usage and aligning test systems with live environments
7. Collaborate with project and support teams to resolve issues, address risks and improve infrastructure usability
8. Test and validate environments to ensure they meet standards, while continuously enhancing platform performance and cost-efficiency
9. Develop and maintain environment management processes, promote security compliance and support adoption across teams
Skills required:
Minimum:
10. Experience of working within large organisations to build and operate cloud-based systems and big data applications
11. Experience of applying DevOps practices in Salesforce environments, including use of DevOps tools, agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum and alignment with IT operations frameworks like ITIL
12. Experience of managing technical tasks and collaborating with suppliers
Essential:
13. Certified Salesforce Administrator or Developer with a supportive approach to managing environments for operational and project teams
14. Bringing a collaborative mindset and thrives in fast-paced, team-oriented settings
15. Confident working across infrastructure platforms and automation tools including Git and Jenkins
16. Comfortable using JIRA and Datadog, with a thoughtful understanding of Agile and DevOps practices in large organisations
17. Applying strong problem-solving skills with care, working closely with developers and product owners to resolve challenges constructively
