Role Information Here at Sciensus a new opportunity has arisen for a Procurement and Supply Chain Assistant to join us on a 6 month fixed term basis from our Burton office. This will be a hybrid working role. Essentially you will be responsible for the management of key pharmaceutical suppliers and ensuring continuous supply of required medicines and ancillaries. You will communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations and act as an interface between suppliers and other internal stakeholders on purchasing processes and new projects and activities. The role will require you to issue purchase orders, develop standards for new products or services, maintains strategic relationships with suppliers and you will be responsible for implementing the supply chain strategy in supporting operations to maximize process efficiency and effectiveness. and be the point of escalation for supply chain recovery This all sounds great - What key skills do I need to apply: Previous purchasing experience with a proven track record in supplier management and delivering value to the business. Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders, and suppliers. Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts the operation and customer order fulfilment. A data driven individual - Can extract, analyse, interpret, and present data in a coherent way to communicate insights and improvement. Familiarity with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system - preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365. Good Microsoft excel skills including the ability to use formula functions and managing pivot tables.
