Job Description:
TP Bennett is seeking a proactive sustainability professional to enhance and embed ESG performance across our UK and global operations. This role supports environmental improvement initiatives and the broader ESG strategy within our Sustainability Team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive continual improvement of TP Bennett’s environmental footprint.
* Lead the calculation and reduction of company carbon emissions, focusing on Scope 3.
* Develop and implement sustainable procurement and travel policies.
* Maintain and improve the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
* Support product/material carbon footprint assessments.
Social & Governance:
* Collaborate with colleagues to record and report Social Value contributions.
* Support ESG strategy development and delivery.
* Ensure compliance with legislation (e.g., SECR, ESOS) and contribute to ESG reporting.
* Respond to ESG-related client requests (RFI/RFP) and support ESG communications.
* Coordinate team activities, workshops, training, and manage team budget and consultants.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Positive, collaborative, and passionate about sustainability and ESG.
* Strategic thinker and confident communicator with influencing skills.
* Degree or higher qualification in an ESG/sustainability-focused discipline or equivalent experience.
* 2–3+ years’ experience in sustainability/ESG or relevant background.
* Knowledge of environmental science, ESG trends, UK environmental/social law, and the built environment.
* Familiarity with standards such as BREEAM, LEED, WELL, Fitwel, and ISO 14001.
* Strong administrative and coordination skills.
* Preferably holds or is working toward AIEMA accreditation and/or ISO 14001 auditor training.
