The Role
Supporting profitable business growth and maintenance of existing customers through collaboration and commercial proactivity, creativity, insights and analysis.
To support the Sales and Customer Service team through efficient processing of estimates.
Drive profit enhancement by focusing on input costs and price maximisation.
Liaising with Operations and Suppliers ensuring correct materials arrive to suit the critical path and within the estimated costs.
Manage daily workload and prioritise effectively.
Efficiently set up estimate specification with close attention to detail to estimate cost and provide accurate works instructions and purchasing requirements.
Proactively researching alternative scenarios for manufacture/supply to ensure the most cost effective solution to meet the customer needs is identified and consider any technical issues.
Consideration of historical or market information to assist with successful price setting, collaborating as required and ensuring the company’s authorisation process is observed.
Timely preparation of quotations or proposals including if necessary the completion of tenders, questionnaires and preparation of presentation material.
Work in close collaboration with the sales team providing proactive advice and guidance on commercials offers and selling prices, working together to support the sales process and win profitable business.
Attend project briefs to ensure the commercial considerations made at the time of pricing are observed and advise budgeted costs to other departments.
Provide reporting and commentary on your accounts including insights, learnings or opportunities.
You will be an excellent team player, adaptable, analytical, quick thinking, methodical, service driven, exceptional attention to detail, high work standards, creative, well developed organizational and time management skills, highly numerate and literate, with developed analytical skills. Highly proficient in the Microsoft office suite; particularly Excel. Ability to communicate clearly and confidently both verbally and in writing. This is a commercially focussed analytical role which requires creativity and attention to detail.
