Accounts Payable Analyst (FTC)
The role
We're looking for a detail‑driven, customer‑focused Accounts Payable Analyst to join our Finance team on a Fixed Term basis through to the end of this year. In this role you will help ensure our vendors and suppliers are paid accurately, on time, and with exceptional service.
You'll be the backbone of our payment operations—reviewing invoices, verifying approvals, resolving discrepancies, and processing transactions in line with company policies. You'll bring with you experience in a similar role and deep knowledge of SAP and be comfortable using Excel to manage the data.
You'll collaborate closely with teams across Purchasing, Legal, Operations and People functions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations. We're looking for someone who brings a keen eye for improvement, a commitment to great customer service, and a drive to elevate the overall effectiveness of the Accounts Payable function.
This is a hybrid position based at our welcoming offices in Reading, with three days in the office and two days working from home.
We welcome applications from everyone. If you require any adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know—we're here to support you.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Accounts Payable function by reviewing invoices processed by our outsourced company, ensuring entries are accurate and in line with company policies.
* Check invoice postings for correctly matched to PO's, posting dates, and tax treatment, escalating any issues identified.
* Monitor DFM, where invoice queries are logged, and follow up with outsourced supplier and internal stakeholders to help resolve outstanding items.
* Review invoices aged over three months on the AP ledger, investigate why they remain unpaid, and assist with progressing them to resolution.
* Liaise with the SAP team to support clearing items on their side of the ledger and resolve cross‑team posting issues.
* Assist with ensuring payment runs are completed accurately and on time, highlighting any risks or issues that could delay supplier payments.
* Assist with month‑end activities, including basic reconciliations, reporting, and AP ageing reviews.
