Job Description
The Team Manager will have a range of responsibilities including;
Overseeing day to day activity in the LDC's EDM team.
· Supporting (and supplementing) the work of the Paralegals in delivering a very high quality service;
· Ensuring the team delivers to internal and external client requirements
· Managing the expectations of those providing the instructions, including tracking progress, anticipating and highlighting resourcing issues and ensuring we provide sufficient and timely updates;
· Line Management responsibility for the team;
· Acting as the initial point of contact in connection with any issues and escalating as necessary;
· Ensuring standard ways of working are adhered to;
· Ensuring robust checks and quality controls are in place;
· Identifying training needs and providing coaching to ensure the team are able to meet expectations;
· Ensuring work is properly staffed;
· Ensuring the playbooks are comprehensive and kept up to date;
· Assessing opportunities to improve operational processes, documentation and training;
· Conducting performance reviews in accordance with line management responsibility.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Team Manager should have:
* Experience working as a Solicitor in England
* Proficiency in managing legal teams and coordinating operations.
* Ideally a background managing paralegals.
* Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
* A background in Litigation or document review.
* Ability to handle escalated issues professionally.
* Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
