Bay Tree House - Heysham, Lancashire Recovery House is a mental health crisis unit in Morecambe, operating on a recovery model. It provides a 24-hour staffed service for residents aged 16 and upwards, offering hospital prevention, step down, respite, and crisis point support.
Role Responsibilities:
* Liaise with clinical teams regarding referrals and clinical presentations.
* Support individuals experiencing low mood, depression, anxiety, mania, voice hearing, delusions, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.
* Assist clients in developing coping strategies for crisis situations.
* Participate in group work programmes addressing substance abuse, mental or physical illness, poverty, unemployment, or abuse.
Candidate Requirements:
No relevant experience is required as full training will be provided. Candidates with understanding of mental health issues or lived experience are welcomed. Essential qualities include a caring and compassionate nature, empathy, enthusiasm, ability to work independently and within a team, and willingness to work on a weekly rota and be available for on-call duties.
