Summary of the Role
·To lead, plan, deliver and evaluate the clinical dietetic service to Head and Neck (Maxillofacial and ENT) in and outpatients at Northwick Park Hospital.
·To lead and carry out regular clinical audit or research into this specialist area.
·To provide theoretical and practical training, teaching and professional development support for dietitians, student dietitians, medical, nursing staff and allied health professionals in the Head and Neck dietetics.
·To ensure work is in line with departmental, Trust and national Dietetic standards.
·To participate in the organisation, management and development of the dietetic team

Education & Qualification
Essential criteria
1. •Degree in Dietetics or equivalent
2. •Current HCPC registration
Desirable criteria
3. •Evidence of further postgraduate study to Masters level or equivalent e.g. Diploma or Prescribing Course
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria
4. •Extensive clinical experience with a broad range of patients in different settings
5. •Sound knowledge of current issues relating to nutrition support in head & neck surgery / oncology
6. •Experience in home enteral nutrition and coordinating discharges
7. •Experience of training student Dietitians
8. •Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team
9. •Experience of conducting audits and / or research

11. Experience working in head and neck oncology
12. Evidence of service development & improvement
13. Experience of working in a multicultural population
