Job Description: Phlebotomist
You will be responsible for taking blood samples from patients attending various centres, including Sir Robert Peel Hospital, Tamworth. You should be prepared to work at other sites such as Florence Nightingale and Royal Derby Hospital as needed.
We offer full-time and part-time positions. The centres operate from Monday to Sunday, 7 am to 7 pm. Please specify your preferred hours (full-time or part-time) in your application.
Applicants must be car users with business insurance. Ensure you indicate on your application that you possess a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
You will work independently, organising your workload to meet departmental standards, respond to situations affecting test quality and timeliness, assist with audits and data collection, and manage equipment and stock efficiently.
A flexible approach to working hours, excellent communication skills, confidentiality, a caring and empathetic nature, clear handwriting, and basic IT skills are essential. Experience in a care environment or customer service is preferable.
