Main duties of the job
You will be an essential member of the TAP research team, leading a growing portfolio of observational research and clinical trials of investigational medicines & devices within this specialty. The role will include supporting the delivery of commercial and non-commercial studies. You will work closely with a dynamic multi-disciplinary research team to deliver our portfolio of studies. You will be required to liaise with trial site coordinators for site initiation visits, site visits and site closures as appropriate. You will be required to attend research meetings on a regular basis.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
As a Band 5 Clinical Research Nurse/ODP, you will be based in the TAP research offices between St Thomas' Hospital and Guys Hospital and be responsible for coordinating clinical trials in anaesthesia. You will manage the full life cycle of research studies, from setup to delivery and archiving, while ensuring patient recruitment targets are met.

Essential criteria
1. NMC Level One Registration – RN Adult OR Registered ODP
2. Evidence of on-going personal development
3. Knowledge of Anaesthesia pathways
Desirable criteria
4. Relevant post registration qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
5. At least one year experience in relevant Anaesthesia setting
6. Recent NHS experience
Desirable criteria
7. Experience in research methodologies
Skills
Essential criteria
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
9. Accuracy and attention to detail in data collection
10. Ability to work across boundaries, integrating with multidisciplinary staff in relation to research trials
