We are looking for a part-time Pastoral Assistant to join our Pastoral team. The role is 3 days per week (18 hours), term-time only – 39 weeks per year. You must be able to demonstrate a passion for working in a special school setting and with children and young people with additional needs. We are committed to staff development so we will help you to develop your skills and expertise. Candidates must be either ELSA trained or willing to undertake ELSA training.
We require a good general education, a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent preferred. GCSE or equivalent level 2 grade in English and Maths.
Salary is graded at PS5, according to experience (Surrey Pay Scale). Full-time equivalent rate: £28,463 - £30,492. Pro rata based on 3-days (18 hours) a week £12,243 - £13,116 Ideally the days of work would be Wednesday – Friday. This role will be on a six-month probationary period.
