The Oral Health Centre of Western Australia (OHCWA) is the state’s primary institution for oral health education, research and specialist care. OHCWA operates as a collaborative centre within the University of WA’s School of Dentistry, involving others like Curtin university and WA Department of Health.
The University is seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join the finance team supporting clinical services and education in Nedlands’ health precinct. This is a full-time appointment on a fixed term basis for one year with possibility to extend.
* Develop budgets and financial reports for Clinical Service Delivery Operations and Dental School activities.
* Ensure compliance and financial controls, invoicing, account reconciliations and expenditure, and provide input and recommendation to policies.
* Provide financial advice and resolve complex financial queries.
Applicants should have relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency, with full professional membership of a recognised Australian accounting body preferred but not essential. Demonstrated ability to prepare the full set of annual financial statements from trial balance and substantial relevant financial and accounting experience at an appropriate level are also required.
