We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and committed Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Wellingborough, starting as soon as possible. The Role As a Year 6 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across all areas of the curriculum, with a focus on preparing pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments. You will provide academic support while fostering resilience, independence, and positive learning behaviours. You will work closely with teaching assistants, Key Stage 2 colleagues, and senior leaders to ensure consistency and high standards. Building strong relationships with parents and carers will also be an essential part of your role. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum Prepare pupils for SATs and secondary school transition Assess, track, and monitor pupil progress Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEND and EAL learners Promote independence, resilience, and positive learning behaviours Maintain a structured and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues Communicate effectively with parents and carers Participate in staff meetings, CPD, and school initiatives The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6 Be confident delivering the national curriculum and assessments Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills Be reflective, proactive, and adaptable Show a strong commitment to inclusion and safeguarding Work effectively as part of a supportive, collaborative team Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply and will receive mentoring and structured support.
