The Role: Technical Consultant
We’re looking for a passionate and driven Technical Consultant to join our Commercial team at British Airways. In this exciting role, you’ll work directly with B2B customers to implement our cutting-edge distribution technology, New Distribution Technology (NDC). You’ll play a key part in shaping how our partners experience our tech, acting as the voice of the customer in how we evolve and develop our digital capabilities.
What You’ll Do
* Lead technical consultation with B2B customers, helping them integrate to our British Airways’ NDC APIs, ensuring smooth and successful implementation.
* Translate customer needs into tailored implementation plans that ensure seamless integration into their business systems.
* Identify and manage technical risks, offering pragmatic solutions that keep projects on track.
* Provide end-user training as needed, ensuring customers are confident in using our systems.
* Foster strong working relationships with customer project teams, ensuring shared understanding of goals and technology.
* Juggle multiple engagements at once, prioritising effectively in a dynamic environment.
* Champion customer needs throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring we build what really matters.
* Stay ahead of trends in airline distribution and technology to inform your work and guide our strategy.
* Work collaboratively across Global Sales, NDC Product and other internal teams to deliver joined-up solutions.

Your Experience
* A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* 3+ years working in technical consultancy, preferably with B2B customers.
* Proven experience in airline distribution or a strong understanding of the ecosystem.
* Knowledge of at least one high-level programming language and familiarity with software development processes.
