Associate specialist

We are looking for a full-time Associate Specialist doctor (non-consultant grade) to work in our Medium (MSU) and Low secure (LSU) Forensic Mental Health Services at Farmfield Hospital, a purpose-built secure facility located centrally with excellent transport links to London and Brighton.

The successful candidate will provide medical support to the consultant and function as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to build effective relationships with service users, colleagues and other professionals, and good IT skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assess service users, formulate management plans, and complete discharge letters.
• Provide medical support to the consultant.
• No on‑call requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Full GMC registration.
• Minimum 3 years experience in psychiatry.
• Desirable to hold MRCPsych, Section 12 approval and AC status.
